I am a very curious person who loves to learn and experiment with art and crafts, gardening, and costuming. In my boutique, you’ll find my miscellany of unique hand-made jewelry, accessories, decor, and DIY craft project kits and tools.
I am a retired and disabled military veteran and I’ve found that creative outlets are important for all ages and walks of life, especially those recovering from trauma. I am willing to volunteer my time to anyone who wants to learn a craft, and I encourage “each one teach two” in the effort to keep these vital skills alive and well.
I started Mari’s Miscellany to monetize my research and instructional skills to fund my community outreach endeavors with foster families, homeless, victims of domestic violence, incarcerated, and other marginalized communities.
My content and business values revolve around two ideas: 1. Every person is valid, worthy of love and has a fundamental right to accessible food, shelter, medical care, privacy, and respect. I believe we must have inclusivity if we are to have unity, and 2: I believe all interactions should be grounded in honesty and transparency.
